The software features are similar to what is found in most Xiaomi phones. Hardware

Xiaomi had launched the smartphone in three variants -- 3GB RAM/32GB ROM, 3GB RAM/64GB ROM and 4GB RAM/128GB ROM -- in China last month. The company also introduced the 4GB RAM/128GB ROM version running Snapdragon 652 SoC at a price of Rs 19,999. The device is expected to available at a later date.
The Mi Max comes with a hybrid-sim card slot with support for microSD card. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 SoC and runs Android 6.0.1 operating system. Powered by a 4,850mAh battery, the device support Quick Charge and offers 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi along with other regular connectivity features. Overall, the device appears smooth initially.

Software

The Mi Max ships with Android Marshmallow-based MIUI 7. Xiaomi is expected to upgrade it to its latest MIUI 8 interface. The all-new UI features some new useful functionality that promise to enhance both user experience and productivity.

The Mi Max is definitely not a perfect fit for everyone. It will not be easy to carry around as it is difficult to make it fit inside trouser pockets. Overall, this can be good replacement for people who still use 7-inch tablets to make calls. On the other hand, consumer can consider it as their second device to watch movies. Playing games on the device might be uncomfortable given its form factor.
